TEXAS TECH ENTREPRENEUR, WIFE, TWO YOUNG CHILDREN AND THEIR NANNY AMONG NINE KILLED IN FLORIDA LEARJET CRASH — FAMILIES RELEASE HEARTBREAKING TRIBUTES

A Texas technology entrepreneur, his wife, their two young children, the children’s nanny and two close family friends were among the nine people killed when a private Learjet crashed in South Florida on November 1, 2026.
The victims were identified by their families on Monday, November 2, as relatives began sharing tributes to the people they lost in the devastating accident near Greenacres in Palm Beach County.

Adam Robinson, 45, and his wife, Helen Sharp, 40, were traveling with their children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2. Also aboard were the children’s nanny, Anita Maria Apellido Cetina, and family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr.
The two crew members were pilot Jeff Gregory and 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, whose identity had been confirmed separately by her family.
All nine people aboard the aircraft died.
For the families, the tragedy represents the loss of an entire young family, two friends who shared their lives together, a caregiver described as part of the family, and two aviation professionals.

ADAM ROBINSON: A TECHNOLOGY ENTREPRENEUR AND DEVOTED FATHER
Adam Robinson was an Austin-based technology entrepreneur who founded and led several software businesses, including Retention.com and RB2B.
Retention.com operates in marketing technology, helping businesses identify website visitors and reach potential customers through email marketing. Robinson was known professionally as a founder and executive who had built companies in the technology sector.
But the family statement released after the crash focused less on his professional achievements and more on the people closest to him.
Relatives described Adam and Helen as devoted parents, saying their two children were the light of their lives.
They also remembered the couple’s relationship in deeply personal terms, describing them as a love story that would last forever.
Their statement highlighted the warmth and generosity they brought to others and the way they made people feel welcome.
The family said their loss would be felt deeply by everyone who loved them.

HELEN SHARP AND THE TWO CHILDREN WHO WERE HER WORLD
Helen Sharp, 40, was traveling with her husband and their children when the Learjet went down.
Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, were also among the victims.
The family described the children as the center of their parents’ lives. Their deaths have made the crash especially difficult for relatives and friends, who are now grieving the loss of four members of the same household.
A photograph shared alongside the family’s tribute showed Adam and Helen smiling with their children against a scenic background.
The image has become a reminder of the family life that was cut short.
The family did not share extensive details about the children’s final journey, but their statement made clear how deeply loved they were.

ANITA MARIA CETINA: THE NANNY WHO WAS CONSIDERED PART OF THE FAMILY
Anita Maria Apellido Cetina was caring for Emma and Charlie and was also aboard the aircraft.
Her role in the family’s life went beyond that of a caregiver, according to the relatives’ statement.
They remembered her for the tenderness and devotion she showed the children, describing her as someone who was truly part of the family.
The family also said she left behind a legacy of unconditional love and dedication.
Her death means the Robinson family lost not only their children but also someone who had played an important role in their everyday lives.
The tribute placed special emphasis on the bond she shared with Emma and Charlie.

RACHAEL REED AND CHARMI FEHR: TWO FRIENDS REMEMBERED FOR THEIR LOVE OF ADVENTURE
Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr were also passengers on the Learjet.
The families described the two as people full of joy and adventure who loved those around them wholeheartedly.
Their statement said the pair had committed themselves to each other and to the life they were building together.
Relatives remembered them as deeply loved individuals whose absence would be felt for a long time.
Their deaths added another layer of heartbreak to the accident, which claimed the lives of an entire family and several people closely connected to them.
THE TWO PILOTS ALSO LOST THEIR LIVES
The remaining two victims were the aircraft’s crew members.
Pilot Jeff Gregory was identified through a statement from East Coast Jets, a private charter company where he had previously worked.
The company expressed sadness over his death and extended condolences to his family, the other crew member and everyone affected by the crash.
The co-pilot was 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras.
Her mother had previously confirmed her identity and described her daughter’s passion for aviation. Filgueiras earned her private pilot’s license in 2023, when she was 17, and had accumulated approximately 1,300 flight hours, according to family accounts.
She had been working as a commercial pilot for around nine months before the crash.
Her family described her as a young woman who had pursued aviation with determination and was building a professional future in the industry.
The identities of the two pilots have added further personal stories to the nine lives lost in the accident.
WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE FINAL FLIGHT?
The Learjet 60 departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas at approximately 10:37 a.m. on November 1.
Its destination was North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.
The aircraft was flying at approximately 35,000 feet when the crew began communicating with air traffic control about weather conditions.
Radio recordings indicate that a pilot reported light, clear icing and moderate turbulence. The crew also requested a climb to a higher altitude in an apparent effort to find better flying conditions.
The situation deteriorated rapidly.
Less than a minute after the weather discussion, the crew declared an emergency and reported an extreme descent rate.
One transmission described the aircraft descending at approximately 20,000 feet per minute. Another warned that the aircraft was heading toward the ground.
The jet crashed at approximately 12:50 p.m. near Military Trail and Cresthaven Boulevard in Greenacres, Florida.
Video from the area showed the aircraft descending steeply before striking the ground and erupting into a large fireball.
The impact created a crater and scattered debris across a wide area.
NTSB SAYS THE AIRCRAFT MAY HAVE STARTED BREAKING APART BEFORE IMPACT
The National Transportation Safety Board began its investigation shortly after the crash.
During a November 2 briefing, NTSB member Tom Chapman said investigators had found evidence suggesting that the aircraft may have started breaking apart before it struck the ground.
Investigators also said debris could be spread across a substantial area, making recovery and examination more difficult.
The crash site presented additional challenges because the impact crater contained water. Recovering the major wreckage and locating important components will be a significant part of the investigation.
Weather is a major focus.
Investigators are examining the reported icing, turbulence and precipitation encountered by the aircraft shortly before the emergency. They will also investigate whether mechanical, structural or other factors contributed to the aircraft’s rapid descent.
The NTSB has emphasized that the investigation is still in its early stages and that it is too soon to determine the probable cause.
Officials are also examining whether a cockpit voice recorder was installed and whether it can be recovered. Such a recording could provide important information about the crew’s actions and communications during the final moments.
HUNDREDS OF RESIDENTS AFFECTED BY THE CRASH
The accident also caused major disruption for people living near the impact site.
Approximately 600 residents from a nearby mobile home community were evacuated while emergency crews secured the area and investigators began examining the wreckage.
Officials reported that one person on the ground sustained a leg injury.
Authorities asked members of the public not to move aircraft debris if they discovered pieces outside the main crash site, explaining that even small components could be important evidence.
The investigation is expected to require several days of work at the scene, followed by additional technical analysis.
FAMILIES ASK FOR PRIVACY AS THEY GRIEVE
In their joint statement, the families expressed gratitude to first responders, investigators and members of the Palm Beach County community who assisted after the crash.
They also acknowledged the families of the pilots, who are grieving alongside the passengers’ relatives.
The statement ended with a request for privacy as they begin dealing with the loss. Details about memorial services will be shared once arrangements have been made.
The nine victims were traveling together on a flight that was supposed to take them from Texas toward the Bahamas. Instead, the journey ended in one of South Florida’s most devastating recent aviation accidents.
A technology entrepreneur and his wife lost their lives alongside their two young children. Their nanny, two close friends and both pilots were also killed.
As investigators work to reconstruct the aircraft’s final minutes, the families are left remembering nine people whose lives were connected by one flight.
The most important question for investigators remains unanswered: what caused the Learjet to enter such a catastrophic descent, and why did the aircraft never reach its destination?
