Presley Gerber Revealed the Cocktail of Pills He Was Taking Months Before His Passing

Presley Opened Up About the Medications He Was Taking

Months before his passing, Presley Gerber publicly revealed that he was taking several prescription medications while struggling with panic attacks, pain and opioid addiction.

In a social media post shared in December 2025, the 27-year-old model said he was taking Valium, buprenorphine and Xanax as part of his treatment.

Presley was unusually open about the medications and the problems he was trying to manage, giving followers a detailed look at the difficult period he was going through.

He Said He Was Taking Valium, Buprenorphine and Xanax

Presley explained that each medication served a different purpose.

He said he was taking Valium to help calm his central nervous system. He described buprenorphine as treatment for pain and opioid-use disorder.

He also said he took Xanax when his panic attacks became particularly severe.

Presley said he had struggled to manage the medications because he had seen numerous psychiatrists and received different prescriptions and instructions.

At one point, he said he had seen roughly 15 psychiatrists.

Presley Also Talked About His Addiction

Presley did not hide his history of substance use.

He had previously spoken publicly about opioid addiction and his efforts to recover. He said he had significantly reduced his alcohol consumption because he no longer believed drinking was helping him.

He also talked about trying to change the people and influences around him as he worked toward a healthier life.

His public discussions were not limited to medication. Presley repeatedly used his platform to talk about addiction, anxiety, mental health and recovery.

He Traveled to Mexico for Ibogaine Treatment

Earlier in 2026, Presley traveled to Mexico for ibogaine treatment, an alternative treatment approach that he said was part of his effort to address opioid dependence.

He documented parts of that experience and continued discussing his recovery online.

Through his “Mental Health Mondays” series, Presley encouraged people to talk openly about mental-health and addiction struggles rather than hiding them.

He wanted others dealing with similar problems to know they were not alone.

Presley Passed Away at 27

Presley passed away on September 20, 2026, at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California. He was 27.

His passing initially drew reports of a suspected overdose because of his known history with substance use and the medications he had discussed publicly.

However, that has not been confirmed as his official cause of death.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner completed an autopsy, but the cause and manner of death were deferred while additional testing was being conducted. Authorities have also said there was no indication of foul play.

His Sister Called Him an “Absolute Teacher”

Before his passing, Presley’s younger sister, Kaia Gerber, spoke about his struggles and the way he chose to be open about them.

Kaia called her brother an “absolute teacher,” explaining that she admired his willingness to discuss his mental health and addiction rather than hide those experiences.

For Presley, speaking publicly about his problems became part of his effort to help others.

A Complicated Struggle He Chose to Share

Presley Gerber’s final years were marked by addiction, anxiety, prescription medications and repeated attempts to find a path toward recovery.

He openly described the medications he was taking, the treatment he pursued and the difficulties he faced.

Now, after his passing, those earlier revelations are being viewed in a different light.

But one fact remains important: the medications Presley discussed publicly have not been officially identified as the cause of his passing. His official cause and manner of death remain pending.
