A 15-second bodycam clip captures the moment a flood rescuer gently lifts a soaked, trembling puppy from a pile of debris in rising floodwater.

According to the chest-mounted camera footage, the rescue took place at 11:36 AM, as the rescue team worked through a heavily flooded area. Murky floodwater covered the streets, broken wooden beams and collapsed wall fragments drifted past. In the distance, fellow rescuers in bright orange suits kept wading through the water, while a red rescue boat with flashing emergency lights waited nearby.

Amid the wreckage, a small golden puppy lay huddled on debris rising above the waterline. Its whole body was soaked, mud caked into its fur, its tiny frame shivering. Its wide eyes stared straight into the lens, as if pleading for help.
