ARIZONA MAN ACCUSED OF BEATING GIRLFRIEND TO DEATH WITH CAR JACK STAND, THEN TRYING TO WASH AWAY EVIDENCE

A 54-year-old Arizona man has been charged in connection with the death of his girlfriend after police alleged that he brutally assaulted her at a property in north Phoenix where he worked as a hired laborer. Anthony Errigo Jr. is accused of attacking 61-year-old Kiersten Fabiani following an argument that reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation. According to investigators, Errigo allegedly used a vehicle jack stand to strike Fabiani repeatedly in the head, leaving her with life-threatening injuries.

The incident came to light on October 8, 2026, when someone called 911 after finding Fabiani unconscious and bleeding beneath a pickup truck in the backyard of the property near 40th Street and Greenway Road. She was rushed to a hospital, where doctors treated her for severe injuries, including multiple head and facial lacerations, bleeding in the brain, fractured ribs and a neck injury consistent with strangulation. Fabiani was placed on life support, but she did not recover and died on October 18. Authorities subsequently classified her death as a homicide.

Investigators reportedly reviewed surveillance footage from the property that allegedly showed Errigo washing his hands and shoes with a garden hose after the assault. According to court documents, he told police he had blood on his clothing and believed he had thrown the items away. Authorities also allege that he arranged for someone to drive him away from the scene and later admitted taking Fabiani’s cellphone and turning it off because he did not want investigators to track it.

The investigation also involved cellphone records and additional surveillance footage that helped detectives reconstruct the movements of the people involved. Police said the evidence placed Errigo at the property around the time of the alleged assault. He was eventually located and arrested after investigators followed leads related to his whereabouts. Several people were reportedly at the property that day, but authorities said none had witnessed the actual attack.

Errigo has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held on a $1 million cash-only bond, according to reports. Fabiani’s death has devastated her family, who have spoken publicly about their grief and the painful circumstances surrounding her final days. Although investigators have outlined serious allegations, the charges have not been proven in court, and the case will proceed through the legal system.
