25-YEAR-OLD WOMAN KILLED IN CRASH — MAN, 53, CHARGED MORE THAN TWO YEARS LATER

A young woman described by her heartbroken family as “beautiful and caring” was killed in a crash in Somerset, England. More than two years later, a 53-year-old man has been charged in connection with her death.

Natasha Poore, 25, died following a collision involving two cars near Frome on April 8, 2024. The case has now moved forward with criminal proceedings against Jobey Jason Smith, who faces a charge related to causing death while driving over the legal alcohol limit.

FATAL COLLISION ON A SOMERSET ROAD

The crash happened at approximately 11 p.m. at the junction of the A361 and A362 near Frome, Somerset.

The collision involved a silver Mercedes C220 AMG and a silver Volkswagen Golf. Natasha died as a result of the incident.

The circumstances surrounding the crash prompted an investigation, which ultimately led to a charge against Smith.

Authorities have accused the 53-year-old of causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the prescribed alcohol limit. The charge alleges that his driving contributed to the fatal collision.

SUSPECT APPEARS IN COURT

Smith appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on October 9, 2026, according to The Sun.

He was released on unconditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Bristol Crown Court on November 11, 2026.

The charge marks a significant development in a case that began with the loss of a young woman’s life in 2024.

Smith has been charged, but the allegations have not yet been determined at trial. The upcoming court proceedings will address the case against him.

FAMILY’S HEARTBREAKING TRIBUTE

Following Natasha’s death, her family shared an emotional tribute remembering her as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend.

They spoke of a life cut tragically short, emphasizing that Natasha had so much ahead of her.

“It is with great sadness that our beautiful and caring daughter Natasha who was a loving sister, granddaughter and friend, was tragically taken from us on Monday 8 April,” the family said.

“Her life was cut so short with so many adventures ahead of her.”

They concluded their tribute with a simple but deeply moving message: “We will all miss and love her forever.”

For Natasha’s loved ones, the loss remains immeasurable. The woman they remembered as caring and full of promise was gone, leaving behind family and friends who must continue without her.

As the case proceeds through the courts, the focus will turn to the evidence surrounding the fatal collision and the allegations against Smith.
