What should have been a frightening but entertaining Halloween experience at Pennsylvania’s Valley of Fear attraction has become the center of a disturbing criminal investigation. Edward A. Eisenhard, 37, of Springfield Township, is accused of sexually assaulting multiple people, including a female coworker at the haunted attraction, a 19-year-old employee at a Five Below store and a 12-year-old girl. The allegations have prompted Bucks County prosecutors to file additional charges and warn that there could be other victims who have not yet contacted authorities.
According to a criminal complaint cited by investigators, one alleged attack occurred on September 25, 2026, during the opening night of Valley of Fear in Lower Southampton Township. The female employee, who was working alone and wearing a pirate costume, reportedly said Eisenhard approached her during a break, grabbed her by the throat and squeezed so tightly that she struggled to breathe. He allegedly pinned her wrists above her head against a wall while making sexual comments before indecently touching her over her clothing. Prosecutors said Eisenhard had worked at the attraction for approximately 10 seasons and had served as her supervisor. He was fired the following day after the incident was reported.
Just two days later, on September 27, authorities allege Eisenhard sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman who worked at a Five Below store in Hilltown Township, where he was employed as a manager. According to investigators, he instructed the employee to clean the stockroom before allegedly making inappropriate comments, restraining her and assaulting her. Prosecutors said investigators later obtained a recorded telephone conversation in which Eisenhard allegedly acknowledged conduct connected to the incident and apologized. He was arrested on October 1 and initially charged in connection with the Five Below case.
The investigation took another serious turn when two additional alleged victims came forward. One was the Valley of Fear employee, while the other was a 12-year-old girl who reportedly knew Eisenhard through her family’s relationship with him. Prosecutors allege that the child was sexually assaulted on at least two occasions while sleeping at his residence — once in December 2025 and again in October 2026. The allegations involving the child resulted in additional charges, including aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors. Authorities have not publicly released the child’s identity, and further details have been withheld to protect her privacy.
On October 28, 2026, Eisenhard was ordered held without bail after judges considered the newly filed cases. Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan said investigators believe Eisenhard may have exploited positions of authority and access to vulnerable individuals. Prosecutors are particularly concerned that his previous employment at multiple workplaces may have brought him into contact with other potential victims. They have urged anyone who believes they experienced misconduct or has relevant information to contact Bucks County Detectives at 215-348-6354.
For the alleged victims, coming forward may be only the beginning of a difficult process. For investigators, the priority now is determining whether anyone else may have been harmed and ensuring that all relevant evidence is examined. Eisenhard faces multiple criminal charges across the three cases, but the allegations have not yet been proven in court. As the investigation continues, authorities are asking anyone with information to speak up rather than assume that someone else has already reported it.
