Man Found Dead Near Disneyland Resort Entrance as Police Investigate

A 65-year-old man was found dead near the entrance to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, on Sunday, October 25, prompting a police response and a temporary closure of part of the nearby sidewalk.

Anaheim police and fire crews responded at approximately 1:40 p.m. near the resort’s south entrance along West Katella Avenue. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, according to reports.

Officers cordoned off the area beneath the resort’s large blue entrance sign and placed a privacy screen around the scene. Pedestrians were redirected while authorities carried out their investigation.

Police said the man was known to the department and appeared to have died of natural causes. Investigators did not suspect foul play, according to the Los Angeles Times.

A beer can was reportedly found nearby, but authorities have not established whether it was connected to the death. The man’s identity has not been publicly released, and an official cause of death has not been confirmed.

The incident occurred near the resort’s perimeter, and reports indicated that Disneyland’s attractions were not affected. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the death.
