SHE MATCHED WITH A WOMAN ON TINDER — DAYS LATER, HER BODY WAS FOUND DISMEMBERED
What looked like an ordinary Tinder date in 2017 would become one of the most disturbing murder cases in Nebraska — and now, a new Hulu docuseries is reopening the story with never-before-seen interviews and chilling details about the couple behind it.

Sydney Loofe was only 24 when she disappeared after meeting Bailey Boswell on Tinder. Loofe, a Nebraska woman, had gone on a second date with Boswell in November 2017. The next day, she was reported missing.
What investigators would eventually uncover was horrifying.
Loofe’s remains were found on December 4, 2017, weeks after her disappearance. Authorities determined that she had been strangled and dismembered, with her remains disposed of in multiple locations.
But the disturbing details didn’t end there.
Boswell had been involved with Aubrey Trail, a man who allegedly told other women that he practiced witchcraft and was looking for women to join a supposed “coven.” According to interviews featured in the new documentary, Trail claimed he already had 12 women and needed a 13th to complete the group.

And some of the women who encountered the couple described bizarre and disturbing “rules.”
One woman reportedly told investigators that becoming part of the group’s inner circle would have required her to kill someone and take their soul.
Another woman said she initially thought Trail was joking.
Then Sydney Loofe disappeared.
That connection between Tinder, the couple and the alleged “coven” became one of the most chilling aspects of the investigation. Prosecutors later presented evidence that Boswell and Trail had discussed murder and believed killing someone could somehow give them greater power.
Boswell and Trail were ultimately convicted of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and improper disposal of human remains in connection with Loofe’s death.
Boswell was sentenced to life in prison, while Trail received the death penalty. During sentencing, Trail said he killed Loofe because he feared she would expose his lifestyle, according to the Associated Press.
Now, nearly nine years later, the case is returning to the spotlight.
A new Hulu docuseries, “Swipe Right on the Devil,” features interviews with authorities and women who say they encountered Boswell and Trail — offering a closer look at how the couple allegedly drew women into their world and how Loofe became their victim.
And perhaps the most disturbing question remains:
How could a young woman looking for a date on Tinder end up walking into a situation this horrifying?
