THE MYSTERY OF BABI CARDOSO: SHE VANISHED — THEN POLICE FOUND HER CAR

23-year-old Brazilian influencer Gabriela “Babi” Cardoso disappeared without a trace.

Now, investigators believe they may know how her story ended — but there is still one haunting question:

Where is her body?

Gabriela Evaldt Cardoso, known online as Babi Cardoso, was last seen on September 6, 2026, after leaving Torres, Brazil, and traveling toward Tramandaí in her mother’s car.

That night, she was still communicating with people close to her.

Then she disappeared.

She never made it home.

Ten days later, investigators made a disturbing discovery.

Her mother’s white Volkswagen Gol was found abandoned inside a house in Tramandaí. The vehicle had been stripped of its license plates, and Gabriela’s cellphone was recovered inside.

A forensic examination also found a false fingernail believed to belong to Gabriela.

And then the investigation took an even darker turn.

Police began treating the case as a suspected homicide, with investigators believing Gabriela may have been killed on the very day she disappeared.

Investigators also discovered spent ammunition in a dune area between Tramandaí and Cidreira, where searches were conducted for Gabriela. Authorities have not publicly identified a suspect or revealed the alleged motive, saying some information must remain confidential while the investigation continues.

The search was later suspended, but that does not mean the investigation is over.

Police are continuing to analyze cellphone data, surveillance footage, forensic evidence and other information in an effort to reconstruct Gabriela’s final movements.

And one mystery remains at the center of everything:

If investigators believe Gabriela was killed, where is she?

For her family, friends and thousands of people following the case, the disappearance has become a desperate search for answers.

A young woman left home.

Her car was found abandoned.

Her phone was left behind.

And weeks later, Gabriela herself is still missing.
