URGENT MANHUNT FOR ESCAPED PRISONER, 38, AS POLICE WARN HE COULD POSE A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC
Anthony Lloyd forced his way out of a medical facility in south London and vanished. Police are urgently searching for the convicted offender and have warned members of the public not to approach him if they spot him.

A major manhunt is underway in London after a prisoner escaped from a medical facility, prompting police to issue an urgent warning about the potential risk he poses to himself and others.
Anthony Lloyd, 38, was last seen at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Friday, October 23, after forcing his way out of a unit in Lewisham, south London.
According to the Metropolitan Police, he was seen heading toward Catford. However, officers believe he could now be anywhere in London.
Detectives are carrying out extensive inquiries to locate Lloyd and return him to custody.
WHO IS THE ESCAPED PRISONER?
Police describe Lloyd as a white man, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, of medium build, with short dark hair.
At the time of his escape, he was reportedly wearing a gray-blue T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Authorities have urged anyone who sees him to avoid approaching him and contact emergency services immediately.
Detective Superintendent Melanie Pressley, who is leading the search, said officers were conducting significant inquiries to find him.
Police are particularly concerned that Lloyd could pose a risk both to himself and to members of the public.
WHY WAS HE IN CUSTODY?
Lloyd was serving a prison sentence following a conviction for actual bodily harm (ABH) in connection with a violent incident involving three emergency workers in Nottinghamshire.
According to ITV News, the incident involved three emergency services workers, understood to have been police officers or paramedics. Lloyd received a 12-month custodial sentence in 2025.
He was transferred from prison to the medical facility in Lewisham in September 2026.
On Friday afternoon, he allegedly forced his way out of the unit, triggering an urgent police response.
Authorities have not publicly detailed every circumstance surrounding his escape, but detectives are now focused on tracing his movements and locating him as quickly as possible.
POLICE WARN PUBLIC NOT TO APPROACH HIM
Investigators believe Lloyd may have traveled beyond the immediate area where he was last seen.
In addition to London, he has links to Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Merseyside.
The Metropolitan Police have asked anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward immediately.
Police have stressed that members of the public should not approach Lloyd if they see him. Anyone who believes they have spotted him should call 999 and provide the police reference CAD4739/23Oct.
The search remains urgent as officers work to establish where Lloyd has gone and return him to custody.
