🤠 THE WOMAN WITH NO NAME

PART 1: THE COWBOY WHO SAVED A WOMAN WHO DIDN’T REMEMBER HERSELF
I woke up in the middle of the desert with no memory of who I was.
I didn’t know my name, where I came from, or why my wedding ring had someone else’s initials engraved inside it.
The only person who could help me was a handsome cowboy who claimed he had never seen me before.
But every night, I heard him whispering the same words in his sleep:
“Please forgive me, sweetheart. I never meant to lose you.”
My story began on a stormy night outside the small Western town of Silver Ridge.
A cowboy named James Carter was riding home when he heard a faint cry coming from the side of the road.
He jumped off his horse and rushed toward the sound.
There, lying in the dirt, was a beautiful young woman wearing a torn white dress.
Her forehead was bleeding. Her hands were covered in scratches, and she was barely breathing.
“Hey! Can you hear me?”
He gently lifted her head.
Her eyes slowly opened.
“Where… am I?” she whispered.
“You’re safe. I’m going to get you help.”
She grabbed his arm desperately.
“Who… am I?”
James froze.
“What?”
She looked at him with tears in her eyes.
“I don’t remember anything.”
James took off his jacket, wrapped it around her shoulders, and carried her onto his horse.
He brought her to his ranch and called the town doctor.
The doctor examined her the following morning.
“She has suffered a serious head injury. Her memory may return, but there’s no way to know when.”
James looked at the woman sleeping on his couch.
“Does she have any family?”
The doctor shook his head.
“Nothing. No identification, no documents, nothing.”
James sighed.
“Then she’ll stay here until she remembers who she is.”
When the woman finally woke up, James was sitting beside the fireplace.
“How are you feeling?”
She slowly sat up.
“Better. I think.”
“Do you remember your name?”
She closed her eyes, trying desperately to remember.
Nothing.
James handed her a cup of warm coffee.
“Well, until you remember, I suppose we’ll have to call you something.”
She smiled faintly.
“How about Grace?”
James looked at her.
“Grace?”
“Yes. I like that name.”
He nodded.
“All right, Grace it is.”
Over the next few weeks, Grace slowly became part of the ranch.
She helped James feed the horses, cooked breakfast, and spent long afternoons sitting on the porch watching the sunset.
James was a quiet man.
He rarely spoke about his past and never talked about his family.
But he was always gentle with her.
He taught her how to ride a horse, showed her how to recognize different wildflowers, and made her laugh when she was having a difficult day.
One afternoon, Grace fell from a horse while trying to cross a small creek.
James rushed toward her.
“Are you hurt?”
She laughed nervously.
“Only my pride.”
He smiled and helped her stand.
“You’re the most stubborn woman I’ve ever met.”
“And you’re the most annoying cowboy I’ve ever met.”
For the first time in years, James laughed.
And Grace realized she loved the sound of it.
As the days passed, something beautiful began growing between them.
One evening, while they were watching the sunset from the porch, Grace rested her head against his shoulder.
“James?”
“Yes, sweetheart?”
“Do you think I had someone before I lost my memory?”
He became unusually quiet.
“Why do you ask?”
“Because sometimes I dream about a man. I can’t see his face, but I hear him calling my name.”
James looked away.
“What name does he call you?”
Grace hesitated.
“I don’t know. But I always wake up crying.”
James gently took her hand.
“Maybe some memories are better left forgotten.”
She looked at him.
“Are you afraid I’ll remember?”
He didn’t answer.
That night, Grace woke up thirsty and walked toward the kitchen.
As she passed James’s bedroom, she heard him speaking in his sleep.
“Don’t leave me again…”
She stopped.
Then he whispered a name.
“Isabella…”
Grace felt a strange pain in her chest.
The following morning, she decided to explore the old barn.
Behind a pile of wooden boxes, she discovered a locked trunk.
Curiosity got the better of her.
She managed to open it using an old key hanging nearby.
Inside were several photographs, newspaper clippings, and a beautiful wedding dress.
Her hands began trembling when she picked up the top photograph.
It showed a young woman standing beside James in front of a church.
The woman was wearing the same wedding dress.
Grace stared at the picture.
The woman’s face looked exactly like hers.
She turned the photograph over.
There were two names written on the back:
JAMES CARTER & ISABELLA CARTER
MARRIED – JUNE 14TH, FIVE YEARS AGO.
Grace’s heart began pounding.
She dropped the photograph.
Just then, a voice came from behind her.
“Grace…”
She turned around.
James was standing in the barn doorway.
His face had gone completely pale.
She held up the photograph with trembling hands.
“Who is Isabella?”
James didn’t move.
“Where did you find that?”
Grace stepped backward.
“Why does this woman look exactly like me?”
His eyes filled with tears.
Then he slowly whispered:
“Because, Grace…”
He paused, struggling to find the words.
“Isabella is your real name.”
Grace felt the ground disappear beneath her feet.
James took one step closer.
“And you’re not just a woman I rescued from the desert.”
He looked into her eyes.
“You’re my wife.”
