🤠 MARRIED BY MISTAKE IN THE WILD WEST

Part 1 – He Woke Up Married to a Woman He Barely Knew!

In the little town of Golden Creek, everyone knew Jake Thompson was a cowboy with two great talents: riding wild horses and avoiding marriage.

At 32, Jake was handsome, wealthy, and charming. Every single woman in town seemed interested in him.

But whenever someone mentioned the word “wedding,” Jake suddenly remembered he had something important to do.

“Marriage? No, thank you!” he always said. “I’d rather sleep in a barn with ten angry bulls!”

His best friend, Billy, thought he was crazy.

“One day, partner, you’re going to fall in love so hard you’ll forget your own name.”

Jake laughed.

“Impossible. My heart is as free as my horse!”

Unfortunately, fate had other plans.

One Friday night, Jake attended the biggest party of the year at the local saloon. There was music, dancing, whiskey, and enough trouble to keep the sheriff busy until sunrise.

That’s where he met Emily Carter.

Emily was beautiful, funny, and had a personality as wild as a Texas tornado. She had just arrived in town and wasn’t impressed by Jake’s handsome face or expensive cowboy boots.

When Jake approached her, he flashed his famous smile.

“Howdy, sweetheart. Have you ever met a cowboy who could steal your heart?”

Emily took a sip of her drink.

“No, but I’ve met plenty who steal horses.”

Jake burst out laughing.

“You’re funny. I like that.”

“That’s unfortunate,” she replied. “I don’t like cowboys.”

For the first time in his life, Jake had met a woman who wasn’t impressed by him.

And strangely enough, he couldn’t stop smiling.

The two spent the entire evening arguing, laughing, and challenging each other to dance.

Emily won three drinking contests.

Jake lost two poker games.

And somehow, they ended up singing together on top of a wooden table.

By midnight, the entire saloon was cheering for them.

Then came the last drink.

And then another.

And then someone shouted:

“THEY LOOK LIKE A PERFECT COUPLE! WHY DON’T YOU TWO GET MARRIED?”

Everyone laughed.

Jake raised his glass.

“Why not? I’m the most eligible bachelor in Texas!”

Emily laughed and shouted back:

“Fine! But only if you promise to cook breakfast!”

The crowd went wild.

What happened next was a blur of music, laughter, and a very enthusiastic preacher who happened to be celebrating at the saloon.

Apparently, someone thought it would be hilarious to organize a pretend wedding.

Or at least, that’s what Jake believed.

The next morning…

Jake woke up with the worst headache of his life.

He was lying in an unfamiliar bedroom, wearing his boots, with a strange white dress hanging over a chair.

He slowly sat up.

“What in the world happened last night?”

Then he heard a woman’s voice from the bathroom.

“Good morning, husband!”

Jake froze.

Husband?

A few seconds later, Emily walked out wearing his oversized cowboy shirt.

She held up her left hand.

A shiny wedding ring sparkled on her finger.

Jake’s eyes nearly popped out of his head.

“WHAT IS THAT?”

Emily smiled.

“Your wedding ring, sweetheart.”

Jake jumped out of bed.

“NO! NO! NO! TELL ME THIS IS A JOKE!”

Emily calmly picked up a piece of paper from the bedside table.

“Well, according to this marriage certificate, we’re officially married.”

Jake grabbed the paper.

His name was there.

Her name was there.

And at the bottom was the signature of the town preacher.

Jake looked like he’d just seen a ghost.

“WE GOT MARRIED?”

Emily crossed her arms.

“Unless you have another explanation for why I’m wearing your ring!”

Jake started pacing around the room.

“My mother is going to kill me! My friends will never let me live this down! I CAN’T BE A HUSBAND!”

Emily raised an eyebrow.

“Relax, cowboy. I didn’t exactly dream of marrying a man who snores like a dying buffalo.”

Before Jake could respond, someone began pounding on the front door.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

A familiar voice shouted:

“JAKE! OPEN UP! WE HEARD YOU GOT MARRIED!”

It was Billy.

And he wasn’t alone.

The entire town was standing outside.

Jake slowly turned toward Emily.

Emily smiled mischievously.

“Well, husband… shall we greet our wedding guests?”

But just as Jake reached for the door, Emily whispered something that made his blood run cold.

“By the way, Jake… there’s one little detail you should know.”

He swallowed.

“What detail?”

Emily looked him straight in the eyes.

“My father is the sheriff… and he absolutely HATES cowboys!”
