Six-Year-Old Boy Recounts Terrifying Moments He Hid Under a Bed as His Mother Was Allegedly Beaten to Death

A six-year-old boy has given heartbreaking details about the night he hid beneath a bed while his mother was allegedly beaten by his father in their California home. The tragic case has left a family devastated and raised disturbing questions about what happened inside the house that night.

Jasmyne Garcia, 34, reportedly suffered severe injuries during an alleged assault on October 3. According to court documents cited by The Sun, the violence took place in front of her three children, aged 14, six and three. Her six-year-old son reportedly told investigators that his father had become angry and that he hid under the bed while his mother was being punched.

The children’s eldest brother allegedly suffered violence as well. He told investigators that his father grabbed him by the neck and repeatedly slammed his head against a bed. The teenager managed to get away, but the ordeal was far from over. When he later returned home, he reportedly found his mother badly injured, unable to speak and struggling to move.

According to the allegations, Garcia remained at home overnight before her husband eventually drove her to a hospital the following morning. She later died from her injuries. Investigators described a disturbing scene inside the property, where blood was reportedly found and damage to the walls was noted.

Garcia’s husband, 37-year-old Roy Anthony Lopez, has been arrested and charged with murder and child endangerment. The charges are allegations, and the case will proceed through the legal system.

As the investigation continues, Garcia’s family is mourning the loss of a woman they describe as a loving and devoted mother. Relatives have said her children were the center of her world and are seeking support for them as they face life without their mother.

The three children have reportedly been placed in the care of Santa Clara County’s Department of Family and Children’s Services. Behind the legal proceedings is a deeply painful story of children caught in a frightening situation and a family now trying to rebuild after an irreversible loss.
