A four-year-old Georgia girl died after she was found unresponsive inside a large container filled with water and fish at her family’s home in Macon, according to local authorities and an incident report obtained by media outlets.

The child, identified by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office as Jayde Wooten, was discovered on September 19 after deputies were called to a home on Rocky Creek Road following a reported medical emergency.

Authorities have not publicly released a definitive cause of death, and the circumstances surrounding how Jayde ended up inside the container remain under investigation.

FATHER SEARCHED FOR HIS DAUGHTER
According to an incident report cited by local media, Jayde’s father had recently returned home when he realized that his daughter was not in her bedroom.

He began looking through the house and also checked outside, asking nearby residents whether they had seen the child.

The report says he eventually heard Jayde’s mother scream and rushed back inside.

He then reportedly discovered the four-year-old upside down inside a large trash can or bin containing water and fish in a bathroom.

Jayde’s father pulled her from the container and carried her outside in an effort to get immediate help.

Investigators reportedly observed water on the floor of the bathroom and a trail of water extending toward the front door, details that were included in the incident report reviewed by local media.

NEIGHBORS TRIED TO HELP
Neighbors also became involved in the emergency response.

According to the report, one neighbor told deputies that she and another nearby resident took turns performing CPR on Jayde after the child’s mother went outside seeking assistance.

A responding deputy and other emergency personnel continued lifesaving efforts until firefighters and paramedics arrived.

Jayde was transported to a local hospital or medical facility, where she was later pronounced dead.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office initially described the call as a medical emergency rather than announcing a criminal incident.

Local reporting also indicates that authorities have not released a cause of death. The Macon-Bibb County Coroner’s Office has said that autopsy results were still pending.

Jayde’s obituary records her as Jayde Zendaya Wooten, 2022–2026, with the family being cared for by Hicks & Sons Mortuary in Macon.

For now, the central questions surrounding the four-year-old’s final moments remain unanswered publicly.

Authorities have confirmed the emergency response, Jayde’s identity and her subsequent passing, but the exact cause and circumstances remain part of the investigation.
