Pregnant Mother Found Dead in Garage After Alleged Attack Inside Children’s Bedroom, Arizona Husband Charged
A horrifying case in Arizona has left a family shattered after a pregnant mother was found dead inside her own home, while her two young children were still inside the property. Authorities allege that the woman was attacked in her children’s bedroom before her body was dragged into the garage, where she was allegedly run over by her husband. The suspect, Joseph Clark, 49, is now facing two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his wife and their unborn child.

Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to the family’s home in Vail, Arizona, on Friday, October 9, after Clark reportedly contacted law enforcement and said he had killed his wife, identified by local media as 39-year-old Noelle Clark. According to court documents cited by PEOPLE, he allegedly claimed that his wife had been electrically torturing him. Investigators, however, reported finding no obvious physical injuries on his body when they took him into custody.
Inside the home, deputies discovered a disturbing scene. Noelle’s body was found in the garage, covered with a blanket and showing significant head trauma. Investigators said evidence indicated that the attack began in the children’s bedroom, where they recovered a bloody kitchen knife and found blood on the floor and wall. Bloodied drag marks reportedly led from the bedroom toward the garage, raising further questions about what happened inside the home before police arrived.
Authorities also reported finding tire marks on Noelle’s arms, along with bloody tire tracks in the garage. Investigators allege that she had been run over after being moved from the bedroom. Other injuries documented in the criminal complaint included a deep wound to her chest and marks on her back that investigators believed were consistent with a belt found in the bedroom. Officials believe the evidence may indicate that Clark intended to dispose of his wife’s body, although the investigation and legal proceedings will determine the full circumstances.
The couple’s two children were reportedly found unharmed, despite being inside the home during the alleged attack. The case has drawn particular concern because the children were so close to the scene of the violence. Clark’s brother also told investigators that he had received a message from Clark asking him to come over and help. The request seemed unusual, according to the complaint, because Clark rarely invited him to visit. When the brother could not reach him by phone, he drove to the property and encountered police vehicles.
Noelle was reportedly in her second or third trimester of pregnancy, and her brother-in-law confirmed to investigators that the family had been expecting the baby soon. Clark was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder, reflecting the deaths of Noelle and her unborn child. His bond was set at $1 million. He has been accused of serious crimes, and the allegations remain subject to the criminal justice process.
The case has raised painful questions about how a family’s home could become the scene of such violence, particularly with young children nearby. For Noelle’s loved ones, the loss involves not only a 39-year-old woman but also the future they had anticipated with her unborn baby. As investigators continue examining the evidence, the surviving children’s safety and well-being remain an especially heartbreaking part of the case.
