Little Pink Piglet Lifted Off a Crate as Storm Water Surges Through Harbor Alley

A tiny pink piglet balanced on an overturned fishing crate in a flooded harbor alley has been carried to safety in a bodycam rescue filmed during coastal storm flooding.
The first-person footage, recorded on 2024-08-31 at 17:24:58, shows the muddy piglet standing carefully on the unstable white plastic crate as brown stormwater rushes through the narrow alley of a fishing village. Waves crash against the harbor wall in the background, fishing boats rock at their moorings, and ropes, nets, buoys and stacked crates line both sides of the flooded passage.
The rescuer, wearing a silver-gray waterproof jacket, black gloves and a red-and-black rescue harness, wades in slowly and extends both hands toward the frightened animal. The piglet looks straight into the camera, flicking its ears and working its snout as water swirls around its crate.
One gloved hand slides beneath the piglet’s chest and the other under its belly and hindquarters. Its little hooves shift on the crate slats, it lets out a faint squeak, and then it is lifted clear in one gentle motion, water dripping from its pale pink skin as its legs dangle.
The rescuer carries the piglet a short distance up the alley to an elevated stone doorstep beside a weathered blue harbor door, where a dry towel has been laid out. Set down on the towel, the piglet stands calmly above the flood line and looks back toward the camera, steady on its feet while the stormwater keeps pouring through the alley behind it.
No music plays over the clip — just rushing floodwater, crashing waves, coastal wind, distant boat engines and the sound of wet rescue gear.
