A tiny calico kitten soaked to the skin and stranded on a ball return track became the focus of a quiet rescue inside a flooded bowling alley, and the moment the rescuer reached out has touched viewers around the world.

Inside the dim bowling alley, floodwater had swallowed the lanes. Bowling pins and balls floated past, colorful lights reflected on the muddy water, and the sound of dripping water filled the air.
