College Student, 21, Dies Suddenly During Her Final Semester — Family Left Searching for Answers

A promising college student with a perfect 4.0 GPA has died unexpectedly at just 21 years old, leaving her family, friends and classmates heartbroken.

Jordan Elisabeth Chymbor, from Cheshire, Connecticut, died on October 17, 2026, after suffering what her family described as a sudden medical emergency. She was studying neuroscience at the University of South Carolina and was on track to graduate in December.

Her family said they are devastated by the unexpected loss and are still waiting for answers about what happened. No official cause of death has been confirmed in the reports.

Jordan dreamed of becoming a physician assistant and hoped to use her medical knowledge to help people struggling with eating disorders. Those who knew her remembered her as compassionate, humble and generous, with a radiant smile and a vibrant personality.

Anthony’s Pizzeria and Deli, where she worked, paid tribute to Jordan, describing her as more than an employee and saying she had become part of their family.

Her former softball team at Cheshire High School also remembered her warmth, charisma and love of life, sharing condolences with everyone grieving her loss.

Jordan’s future was filled with plans and aspirations, but her life ended before she could take the next steps toward her dream career. As her loved ones mourn, they are left holding onto the memories of a young woman whose kindness made a lasting impression.
