Flood Rescuer Wades Through Submerged Music Store to Save Stranded White Rabbit

A 15-second bodycam clip is moving thousands online. Filmed from the chest-mounted camera of a flood-response rescuer, it shows a music store swallowed by floodwater — pianos, guitars, music stands, and sheet music drifting in the murky current.
Amid the chaos, a small white rabbit with soaked fur crouches on a black piano bench, long ears upright, eyes wide with fear yet trying to stay still.
The rescuer, in a bright orange waterproof jacket, slowly approaches and gently extends two gloved hands. With no sudden movements, he carefully supports the tiny animal’s chest and hindquarters, lifting it from the bench and holding it close against his body before turning toward a dry carrier resting on higher ground.
The moment the rabbit begins to calm in the rescuer’s arms has touched hearts across social media. “In a disaster, every life is worth saving,” one viewer wrote. “This is what true rescue looks like — gentle and patient.”
The clip is a beautiful reminder that compassion knows no size — human or small creature, every life deserves to be brought to safety.
