Furious Shop Owner Uses Forklift to Move Car Blocking His Warehouse Entrance
A frustrated business owner in Stockport, England, took matters into his own hands after a car blocked his warehouse entrance. Footage of him lifting the vehicle with a forklift quickly went viral online.

Car Blocks Warehouse Entrance
Luke Thurling, 38, owner of Stockport Pallet Warehouse in Greater Manchester, arrived at work earlier in October to find a 2007 Vauxhall Zafira parked directly in front of his warehouse shutter.
The vehicle prevented him from opening the entrance and accessing his workplace. Thurling said the problem was not unusual, blaming frequent parking congestion in the area around Hallam Mill, where several gyms attract visitors.
Frustrated by the repeated obstruction, he decided to use equipment already available at his business to move the car.
Forklift Becomes an Unexpected Solution
Footage shared online on October 15 showed Thurling operating a forklift to lift the parked vehicle and relocate it away from the warehouse entrance.
He joked about the unusual maneuver, saying the business had temporarily expanded from moving pallets to providing “valet parking.”
Thurling also delivered a message to motorists who park outside the warehouse, asking them to keep the entrance clear so his business could operate normally.
He explained that the nearby car park was frequently congested and that vehicles repeatedly blocked access to his premises.
Video Goes Viral on Social Media
The footage quickly attracted attention online, receiving more than 124,000 views, according to reports published several days after it was shared.
Viewers responded with amusement, while some said they understood the frustration of dealing with inconsiderate parking.
Others joked that they would welcome a forklift of their own to deal with similar situations near their homes or workplaces.
Thurling said the car’s owner appeared to drive away without realizing what had happened to the vehicle.
There was no reported indication that the driver was present when the car was moved.
A Recurring Parking Problem
Thurling said the incident reflected an ongoing problem for businesses operating around Hallam Mill. With several gyms nearby, parking demand can make access difficult for companies that need to load, unload and move goods.
For a warehouse, a blocked entrance can disrupt deliveries and daily operations, turning what might appear to be a minor parking issue into a significant inconvenience.
The video has since become an example of how everyday disputes over parking can attract widespread attention when captured on camera.
A Viral Moment With a Practical Message
Although many online viewers found the incident funny, moving another person’s vehicle with heavy machinery can carry safety and property-damage risks. The circumstances of this incident do not establish that such action is appropriate in other situations.
Thurling’s main message was straightforward: drivers should avoid blocking business entrances and respect access needed by other people.
The unusual forklift maneuver may have entertained thousands online, but the warehouse owner hopes the attention will encourage motorists to think twice before leaving their vehicles in front of his shutter.
