INDIANA MOTHER WHO DIED IN SUSPECTED MURDER-SUICIDE ONCE RAISED MONEY FOR LINDSAY CLANCY’S FAMILY

A heartbreaking tragedy in Indianapolis has drawn renewed attention to a disturbing connection from the past. A mother who allegedly killed her 9-year-old son before taking her own life had previously shared a fundraiser supporting the family of Lindsay Clancy, whose case also involved the deaths of young children.

Shatayvia Alisha Calderon, 33, and her son, Julian, were found dead inside their Indianapolis apartment on October 19, 2026, after police received a 911 call reporting that two people had been shot.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, investigators believe Calderon killed her son before taking her own life. A firearm was recovered at the scene, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The motive has not been publicly established.

What has drawn additional attention is Calderon’s reported connection to the case of Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts mother accused of killing her three young children in January 2023. Nearly three years before the Indianapolis tragedy, Calderon had reportedly shared a GoFundMe fundraiser established to support Patrick Clancy, Lindsay’s husband, following the deaths of their children.

The connection has prompted questions about the unexpected ways separate family tragedies can intersect. However, there is no publicly established evidence that Calderon’s earlier fundraising activity was related to the events that ultimately occurred in Indianapolis.

Lindsay Clancy’s own legal case remains complicated. Her 2026 murder trial ended in a mistrial after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict. Her defense has argued that severe postpartum psychosis affected her mental state, while prosecutors have disputed that account. The case has reignited discussions about maternal mental health, criminal responsibility and the devastating consequences of family crises.

In Indianapolis, investigators are still working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths of Calderon and her son. Authorities have not announced a definitive motive.

Behind the headlines are families confronting profound and irreversible loss. As the investigation continues, the focus remains on understanding what happened and ensuring that the facts are established through reliable evidence.
