According to authorities, Dawn Freeman, 44, was taken into custody after Pennsylvania State Police responded to the couple’s home in Adams Township on the evening of Oct. 4. Her son reportedly called 911, and officers found her husband, Bradley Freeman, 40, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators say the argument was reportedly connected to concerns about gun safety. Dawn allegedly told police that she had repeatedly warned her husband about leaving a firearm accessible inside the home, particularly with children around.

According to the criminal complaint, the disagreement escalated when Dawn allegedly pointed a 9mm handgun at her husband and pulled the trigger, later telling investigators she wanted to “show him a lesson.” A firearm was reportedly found inside the living room as authorities investigated the scene.
