The Billionaire’s Wife Fired a Pregnant Maid—Then Her Husband Saw the Medical Records

PART 1: THE SECRET IN THE MEDICAL FILE

“Get out of my house! I don’t care if you’re pregnant!”

Those were the words Victoria Blackwood screamed at her 27-year-old maid, Emily Carter, in front of everyone inside their $25 million mansion.

Emily was seven months pregnant.

For three years, she had worked tirelessly for the Blackwood family, cleaning their enormous home, cooking meals, and caring for Victoria whenever she was sick.

But that morning, everything changed.

Victoria had discovered a hospital envelope inside Emily’s handbag.

And something written on it had made her furious.

“You think you can fool my husband with this?” Victoria shouted.

Emily’s face turned pale.

“Mrs. Blackwood, please. I haven’t done anything wrong.”

“You’re fired! Pack your things immediately!”

Emily fell to her knees, holding her swollen belly.

“Please, ma’am. I need this job. My baby is due in eight weeks.”

Victoria laughed coldly.

“Then you should have thought about that before bringing your secrets into my home.”

Just then, billionaire businessman Alexander Blackwood walked through the front door.

“What on earth is happening here?”

Victoria quickly stepped toward him.

“Darling, I caught our maid hiding something disgusting. I’m getting rid of her.”

Alexander looked at Emily.

She was crying, her hands trembling as she tried to collect her belongings.

“Emily, are you all right?”

Before she could answer, Victoria threw the hospital envelope onto the marble floor.

“Here! See for yourself!”

Alexander picked it up.

Inside were ultrasound images, blood test results, and a medical report from St. Mary’s Hospital.

At first, he looked confused.

Then he noticed the doctor’s name.

Dr. Rebecca Harrison.

His face suddenly changed.

“Emily… where did you get these records?”

Emily lowered her eyes.

“They’re mine, sir.”

Alexander’s hands began to shake.

Because Dr. Harrison was the same fertility specialist he and Victoria had visited five years earlier.

After multiple failed attempts to have a baby, they had been told they would never become parents.

But there was something else.

Something Alexander had never told his wife.

Five years earlier, he’d agreed to preserve several embryos at the hospital.

And now, staring at Emily’s medical file, he saw a reference number he recognized immediately.

“Victoria,” he whispered. “Why is our clinic identification number on Emily’s paperwork?”

The room went silent.

Victoria’s face turned white.

“Alexander, don’t listen to her.”

But Emily slowly lifted her head.

“I didn’t know whose records they were connected to, sir. I only found out last week.”

Alexander turned another page.

Then another.

His heart began pounding.

At the bottom of the final report was a name.

Not Emily’s.

Not Victoria’s.

His own.

He looked at his wife.

“Victoria… why does this document say you authorized the transfer?”

Victoria staggered backward.

“Alexander, I can explain.”

But before she could finish, Emily whispered something that made him drop the papers.

“Sir, your wife came to the hospital the day I learned I was pregnant.”

Alexander froze.

“She did WHAT?”

Emily began crying again.

“And she told the doctor something about my baby that I was never supposed to hear.”
