Bodycam Rescue: Tiny White Kitten Lifted From Railing Above Flooded Subway Entrance

BODYCAM 2026-10-19 20:11:43 — Chest-mounted bodycam footage released this week captures a tense nighttime rescue at a flooded urban subway entrance, where a rescue worker pulled a tiny soaked white kitten from a narrow metal railing as floodwater thundered down the stairs below.

The 15-second clip, filmed during a heavy rainstorm, opens on the frightened kitten crouched on the wet railing — its fluffy white fur soaked through, pale blue-gray eyes fixed on the approaching rescuer. Below it, water rushes violently down the subway steps, lit by fluorescent lights and the glow of city traffic above.

The rescuer, wearing a neon-yellow waterproof jacket with silver reflective bands, thick black protective gloves and a black safety harness, extends one gloved hand slowly toward the kitten while keeping a firm hold on the railing with the other. The kitten blinks, lets out a quiet meow, and stays put.

In the second half of the footage, the rescuer gently places one hand around the kitten’s body and the other beneath its hindquarters, lifting it clear of the narrow railing. The kitten remains tense but does not struggle. Cradled securely against the rescuer’s chest, it is carried away from the flooded stairwell toward the street — and in the final frames, it looks directly into the bodycam, noticeably calmer.

No injuries were reported. The kitten was taken to safety and is expected to be checked by a veterinarian.
