New Surveillance Footage Shows Missing Girl, 14, Weeks After Disappearance as Mom Makes Heartbreaking Plea
New surveillance footage has offered a potentially important lead in the search for Nyla Primeau, a 14-year-old girl who disappeared from Washington state more than two months ago. As investigators continue working to locate her, Nyla’s mother is making an emotional appeal for information, desperately hoping her daughter will return home safely.

Nyla was reported missing from Woodinville, Washington, on August 19, prompting a search led by the King County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators later received information that led them to surveillance footage recorded in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood on September 17, nearly four weeks after she was reported missing.
The footage reportedly shows Nyla walking through the area at around noon, carrying a white backpack and wearing a black Fear of God Essentials sweatshirt with gray sweatpants. The location is approximately 20 miles from her home in Woodinville. Authorities consider this the last confirmed sighting of the teenager, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has helped publicize the case.
Despite the new lead, investigators have not revealed where Nyla went after appearing in the footage. Officials also have not confirmed whether she is traveling alone or with another person. Authorities believe she may still be somewhere in the Seattle area and are asking anyone who recognizes her or has relevant information to come forward.
Nyla’s mother, Rachel Primeau, has shared a heartbreaking message expressing how much she misses her daughter. She said she remains deeply worried about Nyla’s safety and hopes the renewed attention surrounding the surveillance footage will help bring her home.
“Nyla, you are so loved and missed, and I will never stop waiting for your return,” Rachel said. “You are irreplaceable and the only thing I think and pray about. I love you from the depths of my soul.”
The case has become even more concerning because Nyla was reportedly reported missing once before, in July, when she disappeared from Port Townsend, Washington. Reports at the time suggested she might have been seen in the greater Seattle area, including White Center and Burien. Her family and investigators are now hoping the latest footage will help establish her movements and uncover what happened after the September sighting.
Nyla is described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds, with green eyes and hair that was last known to be dyed brown. Authorities warn that her appearance may have changed since the footage was recorded. Anyone with information is urged to contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 or the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311.
