Woman Defends Fiancé Accused of Recruiting Stranger on Reddit to Sexually Assault Her While Their Children Were Home

An Arizona woman has publicly defended her fiancé after prosecutors accused him of arranging for a stranger he met on Reddit to sexually assault her inside their own home. The disturbing case has drawn attention because investigators allege the attack was planned in advance, while the woman herself insists her partner was falsely accused. The incident unfolded as she was caring for their two young children, including a 17-month-old girl who was reportedly injured during the confrontation.

The alleged attack happened on October 16, 2026, at the couple’s home in Buckeye, west of Phoenix. According to police, 20-year-old Adrian Ayala arrived after communicating online with the woman’s fiancé, 23-year-old Zarian Dyer. The woman, identified in reports as Bella Torres, said she noticed her front-door security sensor alerting her that someone was entering. Expecting her partner to be returning with groceries, she approached the door with her daughter but instead found a stranger. Ayala allegedly asked to use the bathroom. When she refused, he forced his way inside and attacked her.

Court documents say Ayala grabbed Torres by the neck, attempted to remove her clothing and sexually assaulted her. During the struggle, he allegedly kicked her 17-month-old daughter, causing the toddler to fall and hit her head against a baby gate. Torres fought back, striking and attempting to restrain the intruder before managing to get outside. She continued struggling with him in the driveway until he fled. Prosecutors say the attack could have been even more dangerous, but the woman managed to resist and escape.

Investigators later examined electronic devices belonging to both men and allegedly uncovered Reddit conversations showing that Dyer had coordinated the incident. According to court records, Ayala asked whether Torres knew about the plan. The account investigators attributed to Dyer reportedly answered that she did not. Prosecutors allege Dyer instructed Ayala to enter the home while Torres was alone and unsuspecting, sexually assault her despite her lack of consent and contact him through FaceTime during the attack. Messages also allegedly showed Dyer giving directions, discussing the timing and telling Ayala to leave if something went wrong. One particularly disturbing message allegedly stated that Dyer owned his fiancée and her body. Police said the digital evidence connected the two men to the alleged plan.

But in a November 4 court appearance, Torres defended Dyer and disputed the accusation that he had arranged the attack. She told the judge that her partner was the victim of false accusations fabricated by Ayala to excuse his own actions. She also described how the stranger entered her home and attacked her while her children were nearby. Her public defense has added an unusual and deeply complicated dimension to the case, particularly as prosecutors maintain that messages recovered from the men’s phones support their allegations.

Dyer was arrested on October 29 and faces charges including aggravated assault, sexual abuse, attempted sexual assault, kidnapping and conspiracy. He remains in custody on a $500,000 bond. Ayala, who was arrested shortly after the incident, faces charges including attempted sexual assault, sexual abuse and kidnapping. He has pleaded not guilty and was released under court-ordered conditions, including a requirement that he have no contact with the victims. Dyer’s plea status was not clear in the latest reports. Investigators have not publicly established a motive for the alleged arrangement, and the charges against both men remain allegations until resolved in court.
